GCU run an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree (EMJMD) programme on Urban Climate and Sustainability (MUrCS – www.murcs.eu) which is focussed on building and urban influences on energy, thermal comfort, climate and ultimately their links to wider sustainability. The programme is fully funded, covering full tuition fee plus monthly stipend plus travel expenses. The students receive 3 degrees (MSc in Sustainable Urban Env from GCU, MEng in Urban Sustainability from Finland and MSC in Env. Technology from Huelva, Spain). More information on the programme is attached.
While GCU receive a large number of applications from International students, we don’t receive that many qualified applications from home candidates. One of the reasons is our requirement of 3 years of post-graduation work experience (this is a minimum legal requirement from our Finnish partner). With this constraint in mind, I would be grateful if you could please spread the word around ECOMED community to urge them to apply. Students with Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil/Mech Engineering, Building Services/Facility Mgmnt or Environmental Sciences/Env Mgmnt backgrounds are eligible to apply.
Applications are now open and the closing date is 15 Jan 2019. While most of the Scholarships are reserved for International students, we have 5 for Home/EU next year.
