The workshop was organized in order to gather the experts from ECOMED project and the Experts from EFIB that where holding simultaneous meetings in the University of Évora. These experts would then be complemented with other experts invited specially for the workshop.
The purpose was to discuss between experts and practitioners in Soil and Water Bioengineering and experts from related areas (e,g, Civil Engineering, Ecological Restauration, Geotechnics, Landscape Management, Landscape Architecture), the perspectives each expert had on what is the working space of Soil and Water Bioengineering, how to manage its relations with the other domain of expertise and application and, in this context, what should be the main domains of formation that the Soil and Water Bioengineering should possess.
